Overview of Organisation
Monash Student Association (MSA) is a student organisation, run by students and staff for students. It provides support and opportunities to over 40,000 students on the Monash students at Monash Clayton. Established in 1961, MSA has a proud history of serving the University Clayton campus.
MSA is the focal point of campus life and the peak representative body for undergraduates protecting all students' interests. MSA employs professional staff who work in a variety of roles and along with the elected student officials create valuable services to the students on Clayton campus.
Wholefoods is a student-run vegetarian and vegan restaurant and cafe made up of staff members and members who volunteer their time.
Wholefoods staff are employed by MSA.
The Role
Wholefoods requires a cook for their vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The cook will be in control of the kitchen at Wholefoods and work with staff and volunteers to provide fresh lunch options for customers.
Wholefoods is only open during Monash University’s academic period. The academic period runs for 12 weeks per semester, so the position is only required 24 weeks per year. Wholefoods is also closed on public holidays.
As such the role will be casual and only work roughly from March to November with a break in June/July for the mid semester break and a week off in April and September for breaks.
The hours will be from 8am to 12pm Monday to Friday, during these periods.
