Beginners Japanese
8 Sessions
Starting Wednesday 18 April

This course has an emphasis is on speaking and listening skills with basic writing using hiragana. You will practice conversations with other students including asking for directions, explaining how you feel, giving personal information, travel, restaurants, shopping, describing daily activities and much more.
Beginners Spanish

This course has an emphasis is on speaking and listening skills with limited reading and writing. You will practice conversations with other students including asking for directions, explaining how you feel, giving personal information, travel, restaurants, shopping, describing daily activities and much more.
Beginners Chinese (Mandarin)

This course has an emphasis is on speaking and listening skills with limited reading and writing. You will practice conversations with other students including asking for directions, explaining how you feel, giving personal information, travel, restaurants, shopping, describing daily activities and much more. Provides an introduction to the sounds of Standard Chinese.
Beginners French

The course is oriented towards conversation and games. You’ll be able to practice your French from Day One in a friendly environment.
The activities done during the course are specifically designed for real life situations and the focus is on your interests, goals and future plans (e.g. meeting people, accepting invitations, talking about yourself, likes and dislikes). At the end, you’ll be able to handle basic conversations about specific situations in French.
EAL – English as an Additional Language

English as an Additional Language (EAL), formerly English as a Second Language (ESL) is suitable for anyone wanting help with pronunciation and grammar while learning English as their second language. All materials provided in class. More advanced levels can be arranged for groups of 5 or more people.
AUSLAN

Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is a visual-gestural language. It is based on English grammatical system but has its own grammar.
AUSLAN is the native language of many Deaf people and the primary language of many others who have learned it later in life. It is part of the culture of the Deaf community and is recognised as a community language.
