About MAPS
If you’re over 23 years of age, a Part-time or Distance Education undergraduate student, the MAPS Lounge and Services are available for you.
The MAPS Lounge is a comfortable space you can use to unwind, study or socialise with other students who understand your circumstances.

The MAPS Lounge
As a member of the MAPS community you have free access to the MAPS Lounge and services including:
Quiet Study Area
With a number of computers, printers and desks this is a great place to focus away from the crowds in the libraries or the pressures at home.
Kitchen
The MAPS Lounge is equipped with a fridge and microwave that can be used daily. There is also boiling water available plus tea, coffee and milk that are heavily subsidised.
Lounge Area
Kick back and relax on a couch with your reading or maybe watch something on the at screen TV. The lounge area is a great place to chat to other MAPS members and make some new friends.
Events
Our regular e-newsletter will keep you up to date with MAPS events which are run by the MAPS Committee during the year. These events are staggered throughout the semester to include as many members as possible. If you would like to suggest an event for MAPS, or want to help out, get in touch with our friendly committee.

The Student Union Recreational Library (SURLY) also has some great resources to help our Mature Age & Part-time Students improve their study skills, manage their time and stress!
Located upstairs in the campus centre (near the MAPS longue!), SURLY is all about supplementing your studies with fun, relaxation & creativity. We have a wide range of fiction & non-fiction, manga, music and gadgets. Forgot your charger, headphones? SURLY has got you covered!
